The wholesale gur (jaggery) market ruled steady in the national capital today with prices by and large after moving in a limited range on small bouts of buying and selling, ended same on last levels.
Meanwhile, gur Chakku prices dropped by Rs 200 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar gur markets due to paucity of demand.
Marketmen said thin demand due to off-season amid fresh supplies mainly pulled down gur chakku in Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar gur Chakku prices dipped by Rs 200 to settle the day at Rs 2,900-3,000 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,700-3,800 and shakkar Rs 3,800-3,900.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,900-3,000, khurpa NA and Ladoo NA.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,250-3,350 and dhayya NA.
