Defending champion Gurbani Singh of Delhi retained her third match play title at the USHA All India Ladies Amateur Golf Championship as she overcame Bangalore's Aditi Ashok 5-4 at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC) course at suburban Chembur here today.
The Indian Golf Union (IGU) Ladies Amateur Golf Tour Order of Merit leader, thus, made it two titles in a row after having captured the stroke play title that preceded the match play event.
Gurbani got back to her winning ways here after a gap of about three months. She had won her last title in Chandigarh in the first week of October.
With this win, Gurbani should also be assured of defending her title of being the best Indian amateur lady golfer in the country while Aditi, Gurbani's closest rival on the tour, should also maintain her second position on the merit list.
