In a set back to Gurgaon Zila parishad chairperson Kavita Yadav, councillors today voted for her removal from the post for alleged neglect of development work.

The no confidence motion against the Gurgaon Zila parishad Chairperson was passed as seven out of a House of ten voted in favour of the motion.

The councillors later met the then Deputy Commissioner P C Meena and gave affidavits that the Chairperson has lost majority in the House so she should be removed.

Earlier, in a letter to Meena, the councillors had alleged that Yadav had been neglecting development work and was "biased with regard to allotment of funds."

Yadav had denied the charges.
