Two eight-coach trains were inducted into services today on the ocassion without much fanfare as formal function to celebrate was cancelled due to protests after the gangrape incident.
The eight-coach trains would carry 600 additional commuters than the 2,200 capacity of a six-coach train.
Gurgaon and Noida Lines are the busiest corridors in the network with over 14 lakh passengers travelling on them alone.
