People of Gurgaon can follow the district police now on the social site Twitter, a senior police officer said here today while launching the initiative.
"All Gurgaon residents can follow us on Twitter and help us make Gurgaon a safer place with their valuable comments, inputs and suggestions," Gurgaon Police Commissioner Alok Mittal said.
Police should use power of technology and social media to improve interaction with public and as a result to improve policing as a whole, he said.
The first tweet on the profile was about recently launched 'Gurgaon Police Mobile App', which facilitates direct connect with Gurgaon Police. The mobile App is available for Android, Apple and Windows phone.
