Four youths were allegedly assaulted by the staff of a pub here and denied entry after they found them to be residents of another city, police said today.
The incident occurred last night when Dharmendra (23) and his friends, all residents of Rohtak, had gone to a pub in a mall on MG road here and were manhandled by two bouncers and the manager, they said.
The manager, standing at the reception, refused to allow the youths in after seeing their identity cards which showed they were residents of Rohtak, leading to heated arguments, police said.

The victims alleged the manager abused them when they wanted to know the reason for denying them entry. They were then allegedly bashed up by the bouncers and managers.
Dharmendra, who managed to escape, complained the police, following which they reached the spot and found the bouncers beating his friends.
The incident has also been recorded by the CCTV cameras installed outside the pub, they said.
An FIR has been registered under section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC and the pub manager has been detained, police said, adding he will be arrested if found guilty in investigation.
