Gurgaon district administration on Wednesday ordered closure of all weekly bazaars, shopping malls and lounges and bars in the millennium city till March 31 as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The district administration on Wednesday issued a notification, ordering closures of all cinema halls, multiplexes, theatres, night clubs, gymnasiums, swimming pools and spas also in the city and elsewhere in the district.
As per the notification, the city pharmacies, grocery stores and super markets, however, have been kept exempted from the closure order.
All restaurants having in-dining facility have been restricted to the capacity of 50 seats. Similarly, all gatherings including social, cultural, political and religious ones too have been restricted to a maximum of 50 persons.
Owners of saloons, beauty parlours and grooming centres have been asked to sanitize their premises and ensure availability of sanitiser at their premises.
Besides, private cab operators have also been asked to decontaminate their vehicles frequently.

According to the order, the public dealing at government offices should also be minimized.
Any person contravening the order shall be punished under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, the notification said.
