The other two districts are Ambala and Panchkula, Chief Secretary P K Chaudhery told reporters after a meeting of the state Apex Committee.

He said the project will later be rolled out across the state.

CCTNS is a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing efficiency and effective policing at all levels, especially at the police station-level. It is achieved through e-governance and creation of a nationwide networked infrastructure for evolution of state-of-the-art IT tracking system.

The project would also create a platform for sharing intelligence and crime and criminal information across the states, the country and other state-level and Central government agencies, official sources said.
