In a meeting with three Rajasthan ministers, a delegation of the Akhil Bhartiya Gurjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (ABGASS) today demanded the state government to clear its stand on 5 per cent reservation for Gujjars and Special Backward Classes (SBC).

Members of the Samiti met State Ministers Rajendra Rathore, Arun Chaturvedi and Hem Singh Bhadana here.

"We have given a seven-day ultimatum to the state government to find an amicable solution to the reservation issue," ABGASS general secretary and legal adviser Shailendra Singh told PTI.

State Panchayati Raj Minister Rajendra Rathore said the government is committed to provide relief to Special Backward Classes (SBC) and a Special Leave Petition (SLP) has been filed in the Rajasthan High Court.

A meeting with the Samiti's members is again slated on December 22, the Minister said.
