Olympian Gurpreet Singh led an Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) clean sweep in the finals of the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) here today.
Gurpreet topped the qualifying stage with an aggregate of 579 and then went on to shoot a score of 35 in the six-man final at the Balewadi Sports Complex here.
Teammate Neeraj Kumar, who shot 29, took the silver while another AMU man and former Olympic silver medalist Vijay Kumar bagged the bronze with a score of 24.

Talented youngster Rushiraj Barot of Gujarat bagged the gold in junior men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol when he shot 23 in the finals to beat Punjab's Anhad Jawanda, who shot 17 to claim silver. Shivam Shukla of Air Force won the bronze with a finals score of 10.
Earlier, Rushiraj was the last and sixth man to qualify for the finals with a score of 554.
Aadeithyaa Johal of Haryana, who topped qualification with a score of 565 and eventually finished fourth in the individual finals, kept his tryst with gold when he, Anish and Harsh Beniwal helped his state claim the team gold in the event with a combined effort of 1658.
Punjab won the silver with a score of 1637, while Uttarakhand claimed the bronze with 1515.
