A large stock of Gutkha worth over Rs 35 lakh was seized from a tempo here and two persons have been arrested in this connection, police said here today.
The driver duo -- Jamnaprasad Gautam and Rajaram Yadav -- both residents of Surat, were arrested for transporting the banned goods to Vashi here, Kalwa police station Inspector P R Nilewad said.
About 68 gunny bags of Gutkha were found concealed in their tempo at the Vitawa check naka, police said, adding that search for the main accused, who sent the consignment for delivery here, is on.
