Launching the first issue of a Bengali science magazine 'Bigyan Prabaha' at the International Kolkata Book Fair, Tripathi said, "Local students of classes 9/10, classes 11/12 will be more benefited if they are introduced to science magazines in their respective mother tongues."

He said book fair is the perfect medium to inculcate scientific and rational thinking among the younger generation and propagate science-based literature among the students.

Tripathi said science should be spread in every corner of the state.

The governor said Kolkata had many things to be proud of, including the book fair.

About the book fair, Tripathi expressed happiness to see the huge crowd turnout and commented it reflected the love for art and literature among the public.
