Guv sets up committee to monitor distribution of degrees

Taking a note of delay in handing over degrees to students in government-run universities, Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor Kalyan Singh today constituted a six-member committee to monitor distribution of degrees, medals and organising convocations in the state.

The committee would be headed by the Governor, his Principal Secretary Giriraj Singh, Officer on special duty Ajay Shankar Pandey, special secretary, Special Officer (Higher Education), and two others, according an official statement here.

The committee would regularly monitor the process of convocation, degree and medal distribution to students in all government-run universities, the Governor said.

Officers found responsible for delay would be punished, the statement, quoting the Governor, said.
