The 'No Doubt' hitmaker, who has two sons with rocker Gavin Rossdale, said she had doubts before the group recorded new album 'Push And Shove' after an 11-year break, reported Daily Express.

"(I was] getting to the studio and (worrying about) not being able to make it happen and missing out on being at home, missing out on putting the kids to bed. What's more important? I felt so guilty.

"(I thought) I am letting everyone down in the studio right now, I'm letting down my kids; I'm letting down myself. Because time is so precious," she said.

Stefani, 43, said motherhood is challenging enough.

"It's super fun being a mum but it's not what you think it's going to be. And it's really gradual. At first, your life is totally the same. You have this cute little thing that you get to drive around everywhere and it's amazing. As they grow it really does start to change your life," she said.
