Ghaziabad Police has registered FIRs against owners of five private security firms as they could not produce licenses for running their business, an official said on Friday.
Following the instructions of Additional Director General (law), a cell was constituted under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (PSARA) to monitor the private security firms, he said.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kalanidhi Naithani told PTI that the owners of the security agencies were asked to produce their licenses by January 13 and five of them have not submitted the documents till date.
Orders have been issued to Sihani's Station House Officer (SHO) for registering FIRs under the PSARA Act and Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code against Nitin Jain, Rajiv kumar, Supriya Katiyar, Vinod Tyagi and D N Pathak, the SSP added.
