Hailakandi District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) Sabir Nishat has been transferred and posted as officer in-charge of Assam Information Centre (AIC) in New Delhi.
An order to this effect was issued by the Commissioner and Secretary of Information & Public Relations Department, Government of Assam, on February 1.
Nishat handed over his charge to District Labour Officer Alimuddin Barbhuiya today.
Nishat had joined as the first District Information and Public Relations Officer, Hailakandi in September 2016, said a government release adding the office of the district DIPRO was upgraded from Sub divisional Information and Public Relations Office (SDIPRO) in 2014.
