American pop rock band Haim have confirmed that they will release their new album "very soon".

The band are currently working on the follow-up to their debut Days Are Gone, which was released in September 2013, reported BBC online.

Keyboardist Alana Haim said, ""This is the first time we've ever written on the road. We're going home in a month to start recording.

"I promise record two won't come in six years, it'll come very soon," she added.

Days Are Gone topped the UK Albums Chart and peaked at number six on the US Billboard 200. It included the singles 'Falling', 'Don't Save Me' and 'If I Could Change Your Mind'.

Earlier this year, Haim said that they find being labelled a girlband 'insulting', adding that making the distinction they are a group of women seems "medieval".
