The team comprises representatives of Intelligence Bureau, Military Intelligence, Directorate of Inter Services Intelligence, Crime Investigation Department, Federal Investigation Agency and police.
Mir expressed gratitude to all people and said he had reservations over the inclusion of ISI representative and not on the MI in the JIT team, the report said.
Mir, who faced threats from multiple quarters including the Taliban, was shot at in Karachi by four unidentified gunmen last week.
His brother has accused "elements in the ISI" of orchestrating the attack on him, a charge denied by the military.
