He made the announcement while winding up his two-day tour of the district and issued directions to the Deputy Commissioner to send a proposal in this regard, an official release said.

Arrangements would be made for finding a permanent solution to the problem of rain water clearance in Jind city. Directions have been issued to officers of different departments to prepare a consolidated plan for the whole city within one month, he said.

Hooda said National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has issued directions to start work of the Rohtak-Jind highway before March 15, 2013 and on the Jind-Narwana national highway before April 15, 2013.
