Chouhan appealed to the people to donate their extra belongings to those who are in need of them and bring happiness in their lives.
"I request the well off people to donate their extra belongings at a place from where the have-nots can pick them up and use it," he said.
Madhya Pradesh last year became the first State in the country to set up a 'Happiness Department', with an aim to ensure "happiness in the lives of common people".
At present Chouhan is heading the department.
The idea of having such a department has been adopted from Bhutan which has "Happiness Index" to measure happiness of its people.
Announcing 'Happiness Department' in April, Chouhan had said happiness will not come into the lives of people merely with materialistic possessions or development but by infusing positivity in their lives so that they don't take extreme steps like suicide.
