Har golden jubilee: Police to organise marathon on Nov 12

As part of the state's golden jubilee celebrations, Haryana Police will organising a marathon on November 12 in Hisar.

"The Hisar golden jubilee marathon is a multi-distance event to celebrate the 50th year of Haryana's statehood. There will be a 3 km fun run, 5 km and 11 km and 21 km half marathon, a 42.2 km full marathon and a 50 km Golden Jubilee relay race," Hisar Range IG, O P Singh, said today.

The marathon is part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Haryana that was formed on November 1, 1966. The event will begin at 8 AM on November 12 from IG Chowk in Hisar, he said.
 

"Starting and finishing line of the 3 km, 5 km and 11 km events will be the same. Finishing line for the 21 km, 42.2 km and 50 km events will be at their respective milestones on the prescribed route," Singh said, adding it is being organised in collaboration with Hisar district administration.

"The minimum age for participation in the 3 km and 5 km events is 12 years. For 11 km and 21 km the minimum age is 14 years and 16 years respectively. All participants should have medical clearance. One can register on hisarmarathon.Com for the event," he said.
