Haryana government today termed reservation a social issue and said it was willing to support the financially weak people from all the communities.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the government was willing to support the financially weak people from all the communities, and wants to provide equal opportunity to each and every person of the society.
"Reservation is a social issue, and the government has called for suggestions by all the political parties on the matter of reservation," Khattar told reporters here.

He further said 50,000 jobs would be created for youth in the state out of which the process of selection has already begun for 30,000 jobs.
Police Amendment bill has been passed and now the appointments in police department would be done through Haryana Staff Selection Commission, he added.
Talking about reform agenda, Khattar said, an amendment has been made to the provision of collegiums in the societies act. Earlier, the collegiums were required for a society of 300 members, which has now been raised to 1000 members.
He also said on Monday some bills, including the one to make amendment in the Panchayat Raj Amendment bill to make basic qualification mandatory for a man to contest the panchayat elections, would be introduced in the Assembly.
The government was looking forward to make the basic qualification mandatory for the members of the Panchayat too.
This, he said, would enable better coordination of Panchayat with the local administration.
