Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today gave in-principle approval for the extension of Metro Rail project from YMCA Chowk, Faridabad to Ballabhgarh.
Besides this, he also directed to explore the possibilities of Faridabad-Gurgaon Metro link project.
The Chief Minister was presiding over the review meeting on various projects of Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation here today.

Khattar was informed during the meeting that the total estimated cost of Ballabhgarh Metro Rail Link project is Rs 600 crore.
Of the total cost, the state share of Rs 470 crore and Central Government share of Rs 130 crore has been proposed, an official release said here.
The Chief Minister also suggested that linkage of Gurgaon and Faridabad through Metro is of paramount importance as it would serve to link important places like Badkhal and Surajkund.
Besides this, he said that in view of the growing population of both the cities, the better public transport system is the need of the hour.
