Opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) today demanded the Haryana Government must issue a white paper on the state's fiscal health.

"It is because of wrong fiscal policies adopted by the Hooda Government that Haryana, which is being projected as number one state in publicity advertisements by the Congress led state government, has landed in the list of states having maximum fiscal loans," INLD's Hisar MP, Dushyant Chautala said in a statement here.

Alleging that the state government is "failure on all fronts," Chautala claimed that the "fiscal mess has taken such a serious turn that the government does not hav money to pay for the salaries of its employees".

The 26-year-old MP also claimed that the state coffers were empty, "but Chief Minister in a last ditch effort, is on an announcements making spree to lure the public. However, the people are in no mood to give another term to the brazenly corrupt Congress government."

The Assembly polls in Haryana are due in October and the INLD is contesting these in alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal.
