The Harayan government has decided to prepare a team of about 60,000 youth under GRAVIT Yojana to ensure benefits of schemes reaches every person in villages.
The state government has ensured election of only educated persons as representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) to ensure development and empowerment of villages, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said at the 'Gramin Vikas ke liye Tarun (GRAVIT)- Shikshit se Saksham ki Ore' programme in Rohtak.
He also launched training programmes for GRAVIT volunteers, three-month certificate course for PRI representatives and released the course curriculum.

The Haryana government was working as per the principles of 'Antyodaya' given by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya to transform the system and take schemes to the grass-root, an official release said.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar alleged that previous governments had neglected to formulate schemes for education and health, and to strengthen the PRIs.
Expressing happiness over Haryana soon becoming an open defecation-free state, he said, "Tata Trust will associate one worker with the cleanliness campaign in each of 600 districts across the country."
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban, about six crore people would be provided with affordable housing by 2022. Besides, discussion would be held with Panchayati Raj ministers to replicate the GRAVIT scheme in their respective states, he added.
