Har guv to take up issue of Sainik School for girls with govt

Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today said that he would take the issue of setting up a Sainik School for girls with the government soon.

Solanki said that Sainik school for girls on the pattern of Sainik School for boys is needed "so that the daughters also get equal opportunity to serve the country in defence sector."

Addressing the cadets and their parents at a function organized on the occasion of 55th Foundation Day of Sainik School Kunjpura here, he said that today the girls stand shoulder to shoulder with boys in every field.

"There is a need to hone up their talent so as to ensure their bright future," he said, according to an official release.
 

Solanki said that today the girls are far ahead of boys in education.

Referring to 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' initiative, the Governor said that the government has started a campaign to save and educate the girls.

Lauding the role of Sainik School, Kunjpura, he said that Sainik Schools were playing a vital role in inculcating the spirit of patriotism among the children which is the the need of hour.
