Har House to remove plaques bearing Hooda, Surjewala's names

The plaques bearing the names of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala inside the Haryana Assembly will be removed.

These plaques have been placed beneath the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and B R Ambedkar.

Hooda and Surjewala had inaugurated the portraits earlier when Congress government was in power in Haryana.

However, today, the BJP Government in the state decided to remove these plaques.

A resolution to this effect was moved by Haryana's Health Minister Anil Vij.

Speaker Kanwar Pal sought sense of the House and the resolution was seconded by the ruling members including Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
