Har police holds meeting with UP counterparts to check crime

Haryana and Uttar Pradesh police today stressed on the need to share information about missing persons and criminals with the each other for effective control on the interstate crime.

In-charge of Crime Branch of Palwal, Faridabad, Mewat and Gurgaon police, all SHOs of police stations in Palwal and the SHOs of the police stations of neighbouring towns Kosi Kalan, Aligarh and Noida in Uttar Pradesh today met here.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Police Commissioner Traffic and Cyber, Manish Sehgal, who said the meeting was to find out ways of a unified approach in eradicating crime and criminals.

The points discussed include sharing of information of missing persons with the other counterparts of the adjoining towns, because the probability of criminals shifting their base to the neighboring towns was more, the official said, adding also need for mutual cooperation to nab the criminals who have been declared proclaimed offender (PO).
 

It was also discussed that in case of a major crime, barricades to be installed with collaboration of police of neighbouring towns to prevent criminals from finding a safe escape.

Also, stress was given on to check on development and spreading of gangs by sharing information with the each other, the official said, adding that local police should support the raiding party during a raid on a hideout of some criminal to arrest them.
