Har roadways officer's driver fined for using blue beacon

The driver employed by a Haryana roadways officer had to pay a fine of Rs 400 for using blue beacon atop a car in Rajasthan's Dausa district, police said today.

Rahul Jain, a senior officer of the Haryana roadways, was in the car last night when the fine was imposed, they said.

Seeing the blue beacon on the car, a police party stopped it in Bandikui area here and fined the driver Rs 400, the police said.

During the probe, it also came to light that Jain, who was travelling with his family, allegedly used his influence and did not pay tax at a toll plaza.
 

However, no complaint was made in this regard.
