Villages in Haryana, where service points have been established for delivery of electronic amenities to people, will soon be connected with the National Optical Fibre Network on a priority basis.

The announcement was made by Haryana Chief Secretary D S Dhesi while presiding over a meeting on implementation of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) here today, an official release said.

105 common services are being provided to people through 3,387 common service centres -- service delivery points in rural areas in the state.

The Chief Secretary directed officers concerned to ensure that maximum e-governance services were delivered to the people through the CSCs.

He said the Information Technology Department and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited would coordinate with the Development and Panchayat Department on a regular basis to review the progress of work in this direction.
