'Harassed' web designer jumps to death in upscale market

A 30-year-old web designer allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of an upscale shopping complex in the city here.

Vijay Veer Singh, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, jumped to death from Galleria shopping complex yesterday evening in Sector 29 area, police said.

Singh left a note before taking the extreme step in which he accused his employer and a woman of harassment.

Gurgaon Police have registered abatement of suicide case against two persons, including his employer Aditya, on the basis of the suicide note.

According to the police, Singh was employed with Aditya's web designing company for last one year.
 

It was alleged that Aditya and a woman employee used to harass Singh on regular basis.

On Friday evening, Singh decided to end his life and jumped from his office situated on the fourth floor of the building.

Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

"We have recovered suicide note from possession of the victim. He has maintained that Aditya and his girlfriend were ill treating him regularly. We have registered an FIR against them under relevant sections of IPC and investigating the matter," said SHO of Sector 29 police station Ashok Kumar.
