A 'hardcore' Maoist, allegedly involved in several criminal cases, was today arrested with four pistols and a rifle from Bihar's Vaishali district.
Dinesh Chandravansi was arrested from a place near Mahua block office in the district, Superintendent of Police Chandrika Prasad said.
"We had received intelligence inputs that he was in the area. Chandravansi is wanted in several cases of Maoist violence in Vaishali and adjoining districts," Prasad said.
Two of the seized pistols are sophisticated 9 mm ones, the SP said, adding that the police is investigating as to how he came into its possesion.
