Hariyali Teej: No entry for outside vehicles in Vrindawan

In view of the Hariyali Teej on August 5, the Mathura district adminstration has banned the entry of outside vehicles to Vrindawan town for four days starting Thursday.

Lakhs of devotees from the country and outside throng the Bankey Bihari temple in Vrindawan on the ocassion of Hariyali Teej to have a darshan of the deity in the famous golden and silver swing.

District Magistrate Ram Araj Yadav said the ban will be in effect between Thursday and Sunday (August 4-7).

He said the decision has been taken for convenience of the devotees and in order to manage the crowd better.
 

He said parking places have been earmarked outside the town for vehicles coming from different directions and alternative arrrangement made to commute from there to the temple.
