Veteran actor Michael Gambon, best known as professor Dumbledore in the 'Harry Potter' series, has retired from stage due to problems remembering his lines.
Gambon, 74, said he is 'heartbroken' after being forced to give up his theatre career, reported BBC.
"It's a horrible thing to admit, but I can't do it," he told the Sunday Times. "When the script's in front of me it takes me forever to learn it. It's frightening," Gambon said.
The actor is currently seen on TV series 'Fortitude' appears in BBC One's upcoming dramatisation of JK Rowling's 'The Casual Vacancy'.
