Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today condemned the explosion at a gurudwara in Germany's western city of Essen and said she would raise the issue of their security with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Punjab government has appealed to the centrE to take appropriate action in this regard, she said.

Calling the Essen incident unfortunate and condemnable, Harsimrat said she will meet the Prime Minister and Minister of External Affairs soon and will appeal to them to take action for stopping racist attacks on Sikhs abroad.

A Sikh priest was among three persons injured when an explosion ripped through a gurudwara in Essen on Saturday.

Asked about Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh's foreign visits ahead of assembly elections in the state, she said that this was just another method of the Captain to mint dollars.

She also lashed out at the Aam Aadmi Party saying that the "white-cap wearers" were as dangerous to the state as white-fly for cotton crop.

Under Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal the state has registered unprecedented growth in last nine years, she claimed, adding that no other state can match Punjab in implementing the welfare schemes for all sections of society.
