Haryana has achieved 100 per cent coverage of households under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today.
Khattar in a bankers meet said that the state has covered as many as 48,57,524 households under the PMJDY which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 28.
An official release said that when Khattar assumed the charge of chief minister on October 26, 2014, 67 per cent households had bank accounts.
The chief minister was presiding over a meeting with the representatives of various banks here today. General Managers and Deputy General Managers of 24 banks participated in the meeting, the release said.
