Haryana Assembly pays tributes to Singhal

On the opening day of winter session, Haryana Assembly today paid rich tributes to former VHP chief Ashok Singhal and other noted personalities who passed away recently.

The Assembly today observed two-minute silence to pay homage to the personalities who passed away since the previous session in September and now.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar along with Speaker Kanwar Pal, Congress Legislature Party leader Kiran Chaudhary and INLD MLA Jaswinder Singh Sandhu paid tributes to the departed souls.

Besides Singhal, the Assembly paid tributes to former Minister Ran Singh, former Deputy Chairman of Haryana State Planning Board Kailash Chand Sharma, former Minister of State Meena Mandal and freedom fighters Chhaju Ram and Jaimal Singh, both from Gurgaon, and Narsingh Das Arora of Shahbad in Kurukshetra.
 

The House also paid homage to martyrs of Haryana including Major Dhruv Yadav of Gurgaon, Assistant Sub Inspector Dalip Kumar of Deroli Ahir village in Mahendargarh, Subedar Suresh Kumar of Ramalwas village in Bhiwani and Havildar Ramesh Kumar of Kharkharawas village in Mahendargarh.

The House also paid tributes to nine persons who lost their lives in two cylinder blasts in Himshikha Colony, Pinjore of Panchkula district on November 10, 2015.
