The Haryana Assembly paid tributes to security forces personnel killed in action, including Captain Kapil Kundu who was killed in heavy Pakistani shelling along the LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir last month.
Kundu, a resident of Ransika village near Pataudi in Haryana's Gurugram district, was 22 years old when he laid down his life on the border.
The Assembly also paid tributes to 21 other slain soldiers including Subedar Major Ashok Kumar of village Dighal in Jhajjar, Subedar Raj Kumar of village Aharwan in Palwal and Naib Subedar Mahipal of village Bawa in Rewari district.

An obituary resolution stated, "This House bids tearful adieu to those brave soldiers who showed indomitable courage and made the supreme sacrifice of their lives while safeguarding the unity and integrity of our motherland...this House salutes these great soldiers for their supreme sacrifice...and resolves to convey its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families."
At the outset when the obituary resolution was moved, the Assembly paid tributes to former MP from Haryana Atma Singh Gill, former Deputy Speaker of state assembly Chaudhary Manphul Singh, former Minister Phool Chand, and former legislators Chaudhary Ishar Singh Saini, Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary and Veena Chhibber.
The House on the opening day of its budget session also paid tributes to four freedom fighters of Haryana who passed away recently.
The members of House observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the departed souls.
Haryana Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ram Bilas Sharma moved the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed souls.
Speaker Kanwar Pal also paid his tributes.
