Haryana beat J&K, Himachal defeat Services in North Zone T20

Haryana eased past Jammu and Kashmir by seven wickets, while Himachal Pradesh got the better of Services by 26 runs in their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (North Zone) Twenty20 matches here today.

In the match between Haryana and J&K, pacer Joginder Sharma shone bright for the former with a four-wicket haul which helped restrict the latter to 122.

All-rounder Parveez Rasool top-scored for J&K with a 31-ball 35, which included four fours.

In reply, Haryana relied on opener Avi Borat's 55-ball 52, which included five hits to the fence, to successfully overhaul the rather easy target.

Sachin Rana's 28-ball 30 was another notable contribution to Haryana's chase which was completed in 19 overs.
 

In the other match, skipper Paras Dogra's 60-ball 93 was highlight of Himachal's innings, helping the side reach 175 for five. Dogra's knock was laced with five sixes and an equal number of boundaries.

In reply, Services were done in by a middle-order collapse. Opener Nakul Verma's 42-ball 62 was the lone bright spot in the Services innings, which folded for 149 in 18.2 overs.

Verma struck six fours and a couple of sixes in his fighting knock.

Haryana vs Jammu and Kashmir:

Jammu and Kashmir: 122 for 8 in 20 overs (Parveez Rasool 35, Joginder Sharma 4/14).

Haryana: 123 for 7 in 19 overs (Avi Borat 52, Abid Nabi 2/26).

Himachal Pradesh v Services:

Himachal Pradesh: 175 for five in 20 overs (Paras Dogra 93, Suraj Yadav 3/36)

Services: 149 all out in 18.2 overs (Nakul Verma 62, Bipul Sharma 3/33).
