A policeman of Haryana was injured here while trying to catch two men who had allegedly kidnapped a girl from the state, police said today.
Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Haryana Police B P Singh was injured in the incident that took place last night, said SP (Rural) Brijesh Kumar Singh.
A woman was kidnapped from Haryana's Kachh area on June 16 and the kidnappers had demanded Rs 10 lakh ransom, he said.

The kidnappers had asked the family to pay the ransom at LG Crossing here yesterday.
The family had approached the Haryana Police after which a team of the force in plain clothes reached LG Crossing.
ASI Singh, pretending to be a family member of the victim, went towards the kidnappers with the bag of cash. But as he tried to nab the kidnappers, one of them fired at him. The bullet hit him in the chest, the SP said.
Meanwhile other policemen managed to nab one of the kidnappers. The other one, however, managed to flee.
The arrested kidnapper has been identified as Trilok resident of Bagpat, the SP said.
The Haryana Police have lodged a case of attempt to murder against the kidnapper at the Kasna police station here.
The ASI was admitted to hospital and his condition is stable, he said.
