Haryana DGP inaugurates 'Gulabi Mahila Thana' at Panchkula

Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) B S Sandhu today inaugurated 'Gulabi Mahila Thana' at Panchkula today and said it would allow women to lodge their complaints without any fear.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the police station, he said, "The building of the Mahila Thana has been given a pink colour to differentiate it from other police stations."

Sandhu said that being located in Sector-5, the heart of Panchkula city, it would be convenient for women to reach the police station.

The Haryana government has opened women police stations at various places in the state and recruitment of 1,000 personnel for women police battalion would start soon.
