Haryana education officer suspended for taking bribe

A District Education Officer, posted at Kurukshetra, was suspended for allegedly accepting a bribe.

Paramjit Sharma allegedly took money for extending the affiliation of a private school in the district, Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said.

Sharma was suspended on the basis of a complaint by the management committee of the private school.

P K Das, Additional Chief Secretary, School Education, has been directed to conduct a probe into the matter, the Minister said in a release.
