Haryana Government today extended the last date for payment of property tax in urban areas of the State till December 31, 2015.

A decision to this effect was taken in meeting of State Cabinet held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here today.

The decision has been taken keeping in view the larger interest of the people, said an official spokesman.

As per the decision, interest rebate would be given on one time payment of arrears or dues of property tax from the year 2010-11 to 2014-15.

A onetime rebate of 30 per cent will be allowed to those property owners who clear all the property tax dues or arrears for the year 2010-11 to 2012-13.

This is last chance and above rebate would not be further extended, he said.
