Haryana fixes minimum wages for employees

Haryana government today said it has fixed minimum wages for unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly-skilled employees under its outsourcing policy.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said, unskilled employees would get minimum wages of Rs 8,100 per month or Rs 311.53 per day.

This category includes such jobs which do not require any specific skill or experience such as manual labourer; persons working as helpers to assist another person in performance of any task; watchmen, Security guards etc.

He said that the semi-skilled employees would get minimum wages of Rs 9,000 per month or Rs. 346.15 per day.
 

This category includes the jobs for which prescribed qualifications is less than matriculation but require some specified work experience or a certificate or diploma course of one year or less duration.

This category includes jobs like light vehicle drivers, pump operators, masons; carpenters; electricians and plumbers.

He said that the skilled employees would get minimum wages of Rs 9,900 per month or Rs. 380.76 per day.

It includes those jobs for which the prescribed qualifications is matriculation and above or those jobs which require the qualification of a certificate or diploma course of more than one year but less than two years duration or some specialised experience.

Such jobs include heavy vehicle drivers, draftsmen, cooks; JBT (junior basic trained) teachers; steno-typists, stenographers, clerks, personal assistants and private secretaries.

He said that highly-skilled employees would get minimum wages of Rs 11,000 per month or Rs 423.07 per day.

This category consists of the job requiring qualifications of graduation or certificate or diploma of more than two years duration.
