To ensure zero corruption, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today directed all Deputy Commissioners to immediately start special physical verification of foodgrain stocks kept in the godowns of the state.
He also directed to constitute teams to keep a tab on corrupt practises or bungling with PDS system.
These directions were given during a video conferencing here today regarding the physical verification of stock position in godowns of all state procurement agencies, said an official release here.

Directing the Deputy Commissioners to complete this task by November 20, the Chief Minister said an inter-departmental team comprising one representative each from State procurement agency, district administration and police department should be constituted for this purpose.
While the teams would be constituted by Food and Supplies Department, the representatives of district administrations would be overall incharge of these team.
These teams would physically verify the stock position in all godowns of state procurement agencies.
The Chief Minister said that any kind of bungling with the PDS system would not be tolerated and guilty would not be spared.
Stern action would be taken under Prevention of Corruption Act in case of any irregularity reported in future.
If anyone found involved, the government would act tough against him, he added.
He said the State government is also considering for third party inspections of stock position.
This would be started from next month so as to have the real picture of foodgrain stocks as well as stoppage of wrongdoings.
He directed the Additional Chief Secretary Food and Supplies S S Prasad to prepare fresh guidelines for physical verification of stock position in all godowns besides ensuring a full proof system to stop bungling.
He also suggested for implementation of First-In-First-Out system in all godowns irrespective of having any special directives received time to time from State government.
