Haryana govt approves Rs 525 cr under AMRUT scheme

Haryana government today said it has approved Rs 525 crore for the State Annual Action Plan 2016-17 (SAAP) under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) Scheme.

This was informed at the second meeting of state-level high-powered steering committee constituted for AMRUT Scheme held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, D S Dhesi, here today, an official spokesman said.

The participants were informed that the share of the Central government in the SAAP would be Rs 254.53 crore and that of the state government Rs 270.87 crore.

The committee also approved detailed reports of nine projects worth Rs 1,033.61 crore for five towns namely, Karnal, Gurgaon, Sonipat, Ambala and Panipat under the AMRUT scheme.
