Haryana government has ordered all Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to ensure the safety of 'Kanwariya' pilgrims.

The government has decided to run mobile-medical vehicles on the route taken by the Kanwariyas, to provide them healthcare services and treatment without loss of time, Haryana's Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma told reporters here today.

He said that sometimes Kanwariyas face health problems due to fatigue and bad weather.

"The Kanwariyas from districts of Rohtak, Bhiwani, Jind, Fatehabad, Sirsa and Hisar district enter Uttar Pradesh through Sanauli village in Panipat," he said.

He said that on this route, the Kanwariyas travel from Chhajpur village to Dahar village via Siwah village.

Sharma said the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department has been directed to repair the roads on this route.

Replying to a question, he said that new Teachers Transfer Policy-2016 has been implemented to facilitate teachers.

This policy has received a good response, he added.
