As part of a special campaign by Haryana government to check quality of food items in the state, 1,758 food samples were collected till May, out of which 220 failed the test.
Narayanan, Director, National Health Mission (NHM) today said that the Haryana Food and Drugs Administration is collecting food samples from various districts of the state to ensure quality in food items.
The inspection is being carried out under a campaign, launched in October last year by Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij.

Out of the total 119 samples collected from district Ambala, 4 have failed.
Similarly, 48 samples were collected from district Bhiwani out of which 8 failed, he said.
Narayanan further said that out of 147 samples collected from district Faridabad 21 failed, 82 samples were collected from district Fatehabad out of which 22 failed and 154 samples were collected from district Gurgaon out of which 24 failed.
Likewise, the samples were also collected from districts of Hisar, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Mewat, Palwal, Mahendergarh, Rohtak, Sirsa and Panchkula, with some failing the tests, he added.
