Haryana govt gives more time to unauthorized land occupants

The Haryana government today extended the period for filing applications from unauthorized occupants for transfer of land in their possession to April 30 from January 31.

Earlier, the last date for filing applications under the Haryana Evacuee Properties (Management and Disposal) Rules, 2011 was January 31, but now the same has been extended to April 30, an official spokesman said today.

The period of three months from November 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014 was granted as an opportunity for making application by the eligible persons, the spokesperson said.

But on re-examination of the case, it was submitted that the period of three months was too less, he said.
 

"Therefore, the government has further extended the period to another three months that is total period of six months have been granted as an opportunity for making applications," he said.
