The government has also given Rs 32.50 lakh as incentive to 65 couples opting for inter-caste marriage.
Under Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Vivah Shagun Yojana, girls belonging to Below Poverty Line Scheduled Castes families and daughters of widows and widows themselves get financial assistance for marriage, an official spokesman said.
Under this scheme, a grant of Rs 31,000 is being given to persons belonging to Scheduled Castes, denotified tribes and Tapriwas Jatis and also widows of all the sections of society living below poverty line and Rs 11,000 given to the persons of other sections of the society living below the poverty line.
He said that to encourage the Panchayat for their outstanding work in the field of welfare of members belonging to Scheduled Castes, a grant of Rs 50,000 is being given as incentive.
Under this scheme, Rs 31.50 lakh have been given to 63 panchayats in 2012.
He said that under the scheme 'Monetary Relief to Victims of Atrocities', for implementation of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, financial assistance is provided to compensate them.

The relief being given to them has been enhanced from Rs 15000-Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000-Rs 50,000 with effect from December 23, 2011.
Under this scheme Rs 76.74 lakh have been given to 136 victims in 2012.
He said the state government has not only taken measures for social and economic development of people belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes but has also implemented various welfare schemes for the academic development.
